Australia to Tour Bangladesh in July-August 2021 for a 5-match T20 Series
Australia set to tour Bangladesh in July-August 2021 to play a T20 series. Cricket Australia (CA) has agreed to play five T20s instead of the three that the Australian team was scheduled to play in the tour of Bangladesh next August. Playing against a team like Australia before the T20 World Cup 2021 is one of the best ways to prepare.
Australia will play five T20s in Bangladesh. Akram Khan, the head and former captain of the BCB’s cricket management department said about the Australia Bangladesh tour
‘Cricket Australia has agreed to play five T20s instead of three after visiting Bangladesh in August. The series will run for eight or nine days. We are trying to prepare well for World T20 World Cup.
The five-match home series against Australia is part of Bangladesh’s preparations for the T20 World Cup. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will also welcome New Zealand and England between August and October this year before the T20 World Cup.
The Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL 2021) starts on May 31 after the ongoing Sri Lanka series. This was followed by a five-match T20 series against Australia at home shortly after the end of the Zimbabwe series in the last week of June.
Although there were two Tests in the Zimbabwe tour, BCB reduced it to one. According to the schedule, there were two T20s, but now it has increased to three. However, there are three matches in the ODI series as before.
