England ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Squad Announced

England has announced a 15-member preliminary squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They have 3 traveling reserves with a squad of 15 people. Ben Stokes, who took an indefinite leave from cricket for mental health, was not available for selection. Test captain Joe Root was not considered.

After a long hiatus since November 2015, Chris Oakes will play in the T20 series against Sri Lanka this summer. Tom Curran has a place in the traveling reserve to give him a place. In the absence of Joffer Archer, Chris Woakes will be Morgan’s hope in the powerplay.

Sussex fast bowler Mills is returning to international cricket after February 2017. He got a great performance for Sussex in the Vitality T20 Blast. He also showed his ability in The Hundred for the champion Southern Brave.

In addition to Time Mills, there are two other left-arm fast bowlers (Sam Curran and David Wiley) in the English squad. The other two fast bowlers in the squad are Mark Wood and Chris Jordan.

This year’s World Cup is in a spin-friendly country like Oman and the United Arab Emirates, but only Moin Ali and Adil Rashid are spinners. Morgan, however, relied on Liam Livingstone’s spin. Left-arm spinner Liam Dawson is the traveling reserve.
