IPL 2021 Remaining Matches to Resume for 19 September in UAE
The remaining matches of IPL 2021, which was postponed due to corona, are resuming from 19 September in UAE. Even the venue has been finalized, according to Indian media. It is learned that the host of the rest of the postponed IPL is the United Arab Emirates.
The IPL 2021 event may start again in the United Arab Emirates on September 18-19 2021. 10 doubleheaders may be placed in three weeks. The final match may be held on October 9 or 10.
“The BCCI has held discussions with all the partners and it could start between September 18-20,” a BCCI official told PTI. Saturday, September 17th, and Sunday, September 19th, means we can start during the weekend.
Regarding the 4 doubleheaders, the official said, “Similarly, the finals may be held on October 9 and 10. There will also be a weekly holiday on that day.” We are finalizing the schedule. There will be 10 doubleheaders. There will be 6 evening matches. There will also be four regular matches (two qualifiers, an eliminator, and a final). In this way, 31 matches will be completed.
Incidentally, the 14th edition of the IPL started on Indian soil last April; But within 24 days, the franchise tournament had to be postponed due to the spread of Covid-19 infection among the players.
