India Tour of England 2021: Moeen Ali Returns to England Squad For 2nd Test Against India 

Moeen Ali has returned to the England test side for the 2nd Test of the five-match series against India 2021. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed the information. There was no expert spinner in the English XI in the first Test. That is why Moin Ali has been included in the team. He is scheduled to join the English squad on Tuesday (August 10). Moeen Ali can be in the XI of Lord’s Test.

Moeen Ali has played only one first-class match in the last two years. He was in the Chennai Test squad against India this year. He took 6 wickets in the match. Moeen Ali did not get a place in the team despite his great performance in the Chennai Test. The 34-year-old all-rounder has not found a place in the Test squad in the last six months, mainly due to rotation policy.

Moeen Ali is the captain of The Hundred’s team Birmingham Phoenix. He topped the points table with a 23-ball century against Wales Fire on Monday (August 9). The rest of the tournament will not be played on the call of the national team despite a great performance in the Hundred.

Moeen Ali will play for the first time at home against India in the 2019 Ashes. He took a break from Test cricket after England’s embarrassing defeat in the first Ashes match. Khelanni toured New Zealand and South Africa after the Ashes. Moeen Ali has taken 189 wickets in 61 Test matches. He also scored 2631 runs in 5 centuries with the bat.
