Nepal EPL 2021: Shoaib Malik Set to Play the First Edition of Everest Premier League
Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik and West Indies’ Carlos Brathwaite are set to play in the first edition of Nepal’s Everest Premier League 2021. However, it has not been announced yet which team these two stars will play in the Everest Premier League (EPL). Recently, EPL chief executive Amir Akhtar said,
“The parties that drafted them will soon make an official announcement.”
Shoaib Malik, a 39-year-old veteran, has scored more than 10,000 runs in nearly 500 T20 matches over two decades. On the other hand, 33-year-old West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite made a name for himself in the world of cricket by hitting four sixes in a row in the last over of the 2016 Twenty20 World Cup against England.
The duo will join Shahid Afridi in Nepal’s Everest Premier League. Afridi will play for Kathmandu Kings XI in the tournament. The Everest Premier League will be held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Nepal from September 25 to October 9. Six teams are participating in this edition of the Everest Premier League.
